After years of hard work, dedication and tireless training, Cronulla RSL’s very own Dion Beattie will be boarding a flight on the first of May to test his skills on the world stage in Minsk, Belarus.

The Muay Thai World Championships will be hosted in the European country as its first year as an Olympic recognised sport with over 700 kick-boxers from more than 100 countries around the world competing in the gruelling 10-day event.

Cronulla RSL’s Dion Beattie is cellarman slash bar tender by day, kick-box fighter by night. He will be joining fellow Australian team mates at the competition in May to compete for their last chance to make the World Games for 2017.

To support Dion, and this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Cronulla RSL have decided to rally behind their local champion and help raise funds to assist with 10 days accommodation in Minsk during the World Championships.

Please join us to support Dion on his journey and see our local kick-boxer from Cronulla represent Australia at the Muay Thai World Championships. Donations will be taken at the GoFundMe page –

From all the Management, Board and Staff at Cronulla RSL, we wish Dion the very best of luck for the competition. We look forward to hearing all about the experience.
